Default Racing for Cancer Super Street Race Oct 10th

Wanted to invite all of you Super Street racers to our second "www.racingforcancer.com" Super Street Race to be held at Pacemaker's Dragway Park (Mt. Vernon, Ohio) on Saturday, October 10th. Again, Jeg's will be the title sponsor and will match every dollar that we make and all of the proceeds will be donated to the James Cancer Hospital at the Ohio State University.

We had 38 entries tee it up for our first race on May 23rd and had a great final between Linn Bebout and Dewey Boggs with Linn eeking out the win. We had alot of great racing, alot of great fun, great door prizes and we made a special donation to Joey Friend with our 50/50 drawing. Joey is a 22 year old young man who has been battling cancer for a couple of years now and unfortunately lost a leg. Our donations helped him to purchase his prosthetic leg.

Remember the entry fee for the Super Street Race is only $30.00, the purse is guaranteed and will pay $1000.00 to the winner, $500.00 to the runner up and $250.00 to the semi-finalists. There will also be a box/no box race that is $40.00 to enter and a guaranteed $800.00 to the winner. Friday night test-n-tune is available and overnight camping is free.

Another reminder is that we do allow Super Gas cars with doors and there is no weight requirement.

Please join us for a great day of fun and a great cause to raise the needed monies to fight this disease. For more info go to the www.racingforcancer.com website or the www.pacemakersdragway.com website. Thanks in advance and we will look forward to seeing you there!!

I would like to thank Jim for putting on another great race for great cause. The first Racing for Cancer Super Street Race that Jim had in May was a great success. My family and I have raced Super Street all over the county and this was one of the most organized races that we have ever been to. If you have never been to Pacemakers Dragway it is a very nice facility. Mike and his crew do a great job and have very well maintained track. Where else can you race for $1000.00 for a $30.00 entry fee. Hope to see you there,

Thank you,

Linn Bebout

Hey Jim,
How about posting the times for gates to open, time trials and first round. I hopped around the various pages and saw nothing stated (could be that i'm blind). I have a work related event which starts late, but I'd much rather be in Mt. Vernon racing. Hopefully I'll make this event.

Kevin:
Not cast in stone (depending on weather this weekend), but the original plan was gates open at 11:00, time trials starting at 1:00 and first round approximately 5:00 to 5:30. If they get rained out this weekend, we might see the Quick 32 race also as part of the show?? Stay tuned for further updates and hope to see the Nova there!! Make sure that you bring the whole Super Street Posse from Trails!! Thanks!!

I know Dewey and Rob are planning on it, I'll pass the reminder on Sunday to the others (gotta work Saturday) @ the Super Series this weekend.
