Cordova Divisional This Weekend

Just a heads up that some of you may not know about... The I-80 bridge on the Mississippi has been under construction most of the summer. Currently there is NO traffic allowed to cross Eastbound into Illinois, and the Westbound I-80 traffic must exit on or before the I-88 Interchange, as the Hwy 84 (river road) exit is also closed in Illinois. In addition the bridge will be completely closed Friday night until Saturday morning. Please let anyone you know who plans on coming to Cordova about this inconvenience and seek an alternate route to the track if you normally use 80 to get here. Thanks and look forward to seeing many of you this weekend!

check cordovadrag.com they have posted routes around the bridge

A lot of racers accidentally went west past the closed exit into Iowa and had to go a long way to get back.

We totally missed the point that Exit 1 on I-80 was closed. The detour signs were pretty vague. Bummer -- but a pretty (long) drive.

We completely missed the exits. The roads in Illinois are poorly marked. We drove an extra 68 miles out of our way. Very frustrating at the time.

On the plus side, the car count @ Cordova seemed high for most classes.
