I don't think anyone needs to blame the empty seats on NHRA either.....this economy sucks period....had to park my **** due to it and not a happy camper about it, but NHRA didn't do it. I do feel they couldn't have picked a worse time to increase fee's though....that was less than brilliant....LOL

I agree in principal, however I think electronics controlling the car are a bad thing, turns it into an X-box game with g-forces...

I don't mind data collection, or even trans brakes, but when the box controls the throttle it is a lot less about the driver and more about the programmer. Delay boxes and throttle controllers, the electronic type, not so much the mechanical old school kind, ruined the .90 classes, and any class they are used in for that matter.

Drag Racing as a whole has advanced more than I ever expected it too....????? Before getting into the .90 game, I never had any type of electronics, actually never even had a line lock....lol But I love the electronics, Delay boxes and T-stops don't take anything away from it for me...I believe the .90 classes are probably the most competitive classes out there, but that's just my .02

Take all the stock classes, what's stock about them these days....????? Funny cars all look the same, Pro Stocks all look the same.....I do like the Pro Mods and the Outlaw stuff though....!!!!!!!!!

I think probably super comp or gas is the hardest class to win in.....but they are all tough.....

a 150 mph super gas car is slow maybe maybe 8.90 flat out....our car will run probably 7.70s all out....so yes there is a huge difference between 150 and 170....

like I said....9.50 @ 140 with a wheelie is a good ride too....but don't knock the S/G cars until you've tried it...

I'd LOVE to see them put a SPEED LIMIT on all throttle stop classes !!
That would take a lot of the start & stop & start again boring runs away.......

Please don't take offense, but what happens when you take the fun away from the driver/owner just to appease the fans....??????? Is slower the answer....?????? Not for me.

Hey Rich, how are you?
My defection from S/G to Stock is partly health related (crash bam boom) and partly disgust with the overuse & abuse of "performance enhancing electronics" in the Super classes.
So instead of just griping about the electronics I'm moving to a class with less of it. (the operative word is LESS, not none)

More bracket mode style racing is welcome.
And of course, my goal is to have the faster car in heads up races using legal technology. Bring on those "heavy hitters" ....but give me a little time to practice first. I have to adjust from going 170mph to 97.... LOL
