I always thought that having the same engine rated different because of the body it was in was B.S. There are to many variables involved such as track conditions, air, altitude, engine builder, driver, etc. Hell....even some tracks are downhill.

Who the heck is doing the factoring ????????? When it was done before you did not have to wait for ever for it to come out . Now they just take their old time . Who ever did it before seemed to do it fair and not just take numbers out of thin air . Am I the only one who thinks this way???? Well what will be will be . We will just have to go with it

Ram air with stick is NHRA-rated at 342..now lets move on to same with non fresh air ...that one is 7 more at 349.(they did a lousy job with the fresh air package)...moving on to auto with non fresh air wich is another 20 hp up at 369..(those stick shifts arent really efficient..)again moving on to the top of the line...auto with fresh air...lets see..that package dont work as good on the track for some reason..so leave that at -5 = 364...hmm..all this makes perfect sence to me...NOT!!! ...this is so stupid that there is no word for it!...on top of that "Formula" and "Trans Am" will put them in different classes also with all that said...a formula with LS1 fresh air and a stick shift trans must be one of the best cars out there at only 342..a whopping 27 hp lower than one with auto and "non fresh air"...dont understand why not more are using this combo!
