Radiator repair

steve, what kind of motorhome do you have, class a, c, front or rear motor, gas or deisel? if you can, get an aluminum radiator. ebay has a ton of them, but get an american made, there's one guy from cali that is head and shoulders over the china ones. wish i had waited 2 weeks until suburban rad. was back in stock, and only 50 bucks more. i'm very happy with my china one, but i looked at mine and his and there's no comparision, cali rad. is much better built. i will say this about my aluminum rad., my 88 chevy sub. with 350, i installed an aluminum rad. for a 454 suburban, extra 4 inches in length. with dual electric dodge stratus fans, it takes a good 10 to 13 minutes to get to 185 degrees, and then the fans come on. in my opinion, aluminum is the way to go. which ever way you go, use distilled water only, well or city water is not a good choice to mix with antifreeze. i've seen way too many rusted freeze plugs from well or city water, and at less than a buck a gallon at walmart, just makes since to do the job right the first time. all my cars and trucks are this way. rick.
