Question - I'm trying to obtain my electronic credentials for the Joliet event. I'm entered but want to get my electronic ticket. During the log-in process, what do you enter in the "National Event Registration" box? Does anybody know if you really have to have these with you to get in and get parked?

Hi Jim....... I just went through this on the phone with NHRA....... I was told that your NHRA membership number, not our Competition number, goes in the top box....... and your password from your event entry login goes in the second box......
I was also told the YES, we all have to have credentials prior to rolling up to the gate or they will not let you in....... you can get your crew passes the old fashioned way, but you have to have you driver stuff before you get there...... ALSO..... make syre your event is open or it will keep rejecting you, as it did me........ if it is not open yet, on the event listings it will show "opening shortly".......... Hope this helps |

I thought we just had to generate a tech card from the web site, then bring that along with our proof of payment to the gate and we'd be fine.

Does having these credentials allow you to skip the wait at the NHRA trailer after you tech in?

Thanks guys for the help. I wound up calling NHRA and Josh Peterson and Jennifer were very helpful. It would be nice if the process was a bit easier, particularly when doing it the first time. I'm sure it will be alot easier for everybody once we get use to it.

Hi Angelo.... from what they told me, we're not getting in the gate without a the driver's credentials...... I'm figuring that they hand you a tech card as you enter and everything else will be the same..... I was told that we can get all of the crew tickets at the trailer...... but I guess we'll still be standing on line.....

Ang, you still have to wait in line, but it doesn't take as long. What I've noticed is since the number of competitors is down, this may be the main reason we don't wait as long. You still have to get the restricted pass put on your ticket.
