Default Race #1 & #2 Lebanon Valley T/D Series

The first weekend is complete for the Lebanon Valley Top Dragster Series.

Race #1 was on saturday, and started after the rains ended.

The Lebanon Valley track crew got the place up and running, and Frank Zeffiro anchored the feild with a 4.13 in the 1/8 mile. 10 cars made up the first field.

In the semis, Frank Zeffiro beat out Ken Moses 4.16 (4.13 dial) to Ken Moses 4.60 (4.58 dial). Laura Zeffiro had the bye into the finals.

In the finals, bragging rights in the Zeffiro house-hold were on the line. Laura out ran Frank with a 4.60 (4.58 dial) as Frank slowed to a 4.39 on a 4.13 dial.

The first final proved the diversity of this series as the quickest car made it the finals, and a Husband -Wife raced in the finals.

Race #2 went to Ken Moses, as he took a close win over Vince Musolino in the finals. Kens 4.768 (4.74 Dial) just outlasted Musolinos 4.809 (4.78 Dial) in a super close race.

In the Semi's, Musolino pushed Wayne Hofmann out on a break out to advance to the finals. Ken Moses took the bye run.

Qualifying ended with Wayne Hofmann taking the pole with a 4.56 in the 1/8 mile run, and rounding out the ten car field was Richard Carbones 4.84.

Due to high winds all day, Lebanon Valley ran a 1/8 mile series in all classes.

It should be noted that Ken Moses is one of the series sponsors, and now leads the points as he took the $1500 winners check back to New Jersey!

Kudos to Lebanon Valley for all the help, and covering the payout, even with a short field. Howard Commander, Steve Robilloto, and especially Susan Bell made all made this run smooth.

The next race weekend is May 30-31st.

A change has been made to the series as a 32-car field will be the normal now at all races. If there is a need for 1/8 mile racing, 4.99 and quicker will be the e.t. break. This change was made based on the ability to turn the cars around in 30 minutes. This will ensure that a 5 round race can be completed each day.

These are the points for Registered members of the LVD T/D Series as of 5/10/2009

Ken Moses 128
Laura Zeffiro 110
Vince Musolino 88
Frank Zeffiro 65
Wayne Hofmann 48
Scott Hall 30
Kevin Main 28
K. Trangone 5
Sean Foley 5
B.J. Masiello 4

Thanks to all that attended!!!

Default Re: Race #1 & #2 Lebanon Valley T/D Series

First, Thank you to Scott Hall & Wayne Hofman for putting this series together. We had a great time both days!

Second, We would like to Thank Howard Commander, & the entire LVD crew for not only paying the "FULL PAYOUT" ($1200 & $1500) both days, but putting so much effort into the track. When I tell you it rained very hard Friday & Saturday night, and woke up to 50+ MPH winds on Sunday and NOT A SINGLE SPOT of WATER coming up thru the track was amazing. Starting line was very well prepped as you can tell Frank went 4.13 @ 179 in 1/8 even though he "de-tuned" his machine it shows you that anyone can get down it.
It is not the same old LVD. They have put in countless hours to make this track one of the best, and they are trying very hard to accomplish just that.

The next T/D event is scheduled for the weekend of May 30-31. Try to make it!
