It really hurts to hear that we lost a great lady. She always made me feel welcome when I came to the races and I will never forget her kind words and feelings when I lost my Dad. She will truely be missed. God bless you Hank and family. She was so very special.

All the racers coming to Piedmont, maybe we can do some type of tribute.

I think a tribute would be great. Maybe we could all get together and come up with something cool to do in her memory.

Good idea!!! If anyone has Hank's address, please post it, I'd like to send him a card. I'll try finding it myself in the mean time.

Shirley was one of my drag race Moms. I remember her talking with my Mom many hours in our motorhome, and all the fun that she was as the banquets! I know many of the "younger" racers know Shirley only as the Tech Official. I remember her as the racer's wife; hanging out the passenger side of the Super Rod Camaro as Hank hurried to the staging lanes for "round robin". I will definitely miss her.

Just a thought @ indy points meet they had an extra time run for everyone $10 for the run, the money went to Bob Hessers family. They announced that they had raised $12.500.00 for his family. I know from personal experience that funerals are very expensive. Again just a thought. Joe

IHRA events won't be the same without Shirley. We always looked forward to talking with her. She was a great person.

I just talked to Hank this evening and a service is scheduled Thursday evening. The funeral is Friday at 2:00 PM. Hanks address is ............
