Default Re: Wow, can you believe the schedule @ Houstan????????????!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I was not really throwing off on Super Comp, I have some very good friends who run the .90 Super classes, and I was a part of a Super Gas and Super Comp team for years. I hate to see anyone get dumped on.

NHRA is fast becoming a dog and pony show, and trying to be all things to all people. You cannot be all things to all people. You cannot include every class every person or sanctioning body on the planet can think of. With too many classes, everyone gets screwed, or nearly everyone. Quality over quantity sells better nearly every time, especially when times are tight.

I like the idea of everyone having a time and a place to race, but it simply cannot be the same place and the same time for everyone.

By the way, once again, NHRA has made such an excellent deal with ESPN that the NHRA show gets either cut short or pre-empted and rescheduled for stick and ball sports. No wonder companies do not want to buy space on drag cars, even in the pro classes. Who is watching qualifying at 2AM on Sunday morning?
