Hello...
Fought the same problem with Hoosier radials on my Corvette. Turned out that the corner weights were way off (too heavy on the front left corner). When I lifted on top end, the weight would shift from the right rear back to the left front and get the car swaying badly. I had the car scaled and made some changes. With the corner weights corrected, the car is straight as an arrow. Tom Goldman scaled the car and did the work to correct the problem for me. Maybe he will chime in here with some other ideas. I think most chassis guys will agree there is not just one cause to this problem. ....I always start by checking the straightness and tracking of the chassis before scaleing the corner weights.......A lot of door cars are naturally heavy on the left front, sometimes adding preload to the right rear to correct the rear weights aggrivates the condition making the left front even heavier. ...This usually wont present a problem on acceleration, but it can upset the car during deceleration, especially if the bump is fairly soft on the front shocks....Spring rates can have an effect too. .....Jeff's car had a crooked rear shock mount ,which really threw the weight to the left front. ....I'd recomend checking the basics first. ...Jeff's car was professionally built by a respected shop, and it still had a problem. It can happen to anyone. ......Everybody will have a suggestion or a cure, and chances are many of them might help reduce of even cure the problem.......Tom
