Default Re: US Class Nationals

Time for it again.
Any track that is associated with NHRA is going to feel pressure to NOT run an independent race like the US Class Nationals. Read the fine print in the sanction contract. It happend the first time & will happen again because they feel threatened. That is something that must be workerd on . Case in point look at the latest race in Houston.. compromise.. 50% nitro... It is my opinion they will pressure insurance companies too. We lost a couple of key people at the US Class Nationals because of the pressure. Others stepped up and made it happen. I was proud to be a part of it. It can be done again & again, but it will have to be very well organized. I was told a race at Virginia was planned as a second US Class Nationals, but it didn't happen. I suspect it was outside pressure. No one ever called to tell me. Then Alex faced personal attacks from a racer with past issues & ulterior motives. It just got to be too much of a hassel to do it again. Now is the time to reorganize & do it again as a series. I'm sure ready.
