Stock/SS race Syracuse NY this Sunday

Just north of Syracuse off I-81. This is one of those tracks that could use our help. Their spectator attendance is higher than normal for this event which helps a track with declining car counts.

$100 entry, $20 crew
1/8th mile
No weight or fuel checks
No heads up
7/30/23, gates open at 8am, time trials start at 9am
tentative eliminations 11-12

wheres truesdale and lawton race cars ? we used to do this event when we had the SS car, always fun, miss the place...

I can remember a few names that were always at this race, Spencer speedway, Empire and Lancaster. Our weekends were great for racing and family time in upper New York. Wally Clark and another name that escapes me had twin Camaros, Peter Fedon and his A/SA corvette, Ritter and Weber's SS/IA Duster. There were locals like Jim Marshall and Ed Longhany in stock. Larry Zugehoer and his U/SA plymouth wagon. Charlie Hopson always had a mopar. LeBrun brothers use to have one of their combo races here also. Lots of memories. Great Modified show of cars as well. Good times.

Just got word from the track that tomorrows race is cancelled due to heavy rains today, to be re-scheduled.

Yes it would be great to see all our Canadian friends that came to this prior to COVID, Mark Lawton, Wayne Truesdell and maybe even our current world champion the D'Agnolo!

Oh and all the PA racers to!
