The 2009 Dodge with the 345 engine in Stock w/automatic just got 10 horsepower today. Car now falls in D/SA at 9.84 using 315 as the refactored horsepower.

Ball Park Numbers,
9.5 x 315 = 2,993 , 2,993 + 170 = 3,163 pounds Assuming they can get down to that weight: 555 Horsepower = 10.17 @ 131 MPH - Not a bad D car. Take it to Atco in the Spring and the car could run 10.00's.

I have to assume of course that this applies to the DP combination. What classes would the showroom stock, driven off of the dealer's lot, non-DP cars be in? Just wondering.

This is not the first time a manufacturer has failed to send specs on the cars they build. FYI, a 1978 Gremlin cannot race in Stock or S/S either. No specs were sent from AMC to NHRA that year. Travis (Disclaimer: Opinions expressed by me on this forum are exactly that, my opinions.) |

Thanks Travis. That's what I figured. With all the stuff about the DP combination, nothing was ever done about the showroom type cars. It doesn't surprise me though. It would be interesting to see what classes they would fall into.

Just so I understand this correctly, the street legal car that anyone could purchase from the dealer is not legal for me to race in Stock Eliminator, but the limited production, not street legal, kit car is OK for Stock Eliminator? |
