There appeared to be no push to get the event moving towards completion. They ran a pair of turbo diesel trucks down the track with almost no one in the stands about 6:30 PM.
Junior dragster got a time trial when it was obvious that there no way the would run any kind of eliminations that day. I left because I had to go to work today and I felt it was becoming too dangerous to race. The dew has starting to come in real heavy and I have witnessed some bad accidents under the same kind of conditions at this place. I took some pictures of what they did to the track between 200 ft and 400 ft that I will post later. I got out of shape in second gear in that area in the first round but was lucky enough to dial for it.

I stayed until they pulled the hook just short of Midnight. The track was iffy for the high HP cars. McDaniel's SS/AH cranked off 2 8.49 in a row 2nd and 3rd round I think. I came home to KY around 3 AM.

Today the weather is windy but looks fast.

So what do ya'll think about them giving TD,TS, and comp another time trial on Sunday instead of putting any extras at the bottom of the sheets like they did for stock, superstock, super comp, super gas, and super street? I think that they are no better than we are and should have been treated the same.

I got the sorry about your luck, we can't control the weather response from Hullinger in the tower Saturday after they called it when I asked about that specifically. I was told that those classes only got 1 shot when the other classes had 2 so they were getting the additional run. Their basis was they were making Stk/SS all-run classes but were still limiting the fields in Comp/TS/TD so they needed another shot to set those fields. The logic escapes me as they already had a qualifying order from the one session they got and sorry for them only getting one because of rain, I as well as many others didn't get any. Told him it was a bit of salt in wound since Stk/SS got screwed out of running class (and I for one couldn't even collect a class single win due to not making a pass Friday due to late arrival). That fell on deaf ears, which I am sure already got an earfull from the Hemi guys. Fortunately I had never even filled out my tech card and they were refunding anyone who hadn't been through tech if they didn't want to go on the ladder without a time shot. Not coming to work on Monday wasn't an option for me.
