Neither do I Bobby, Just the mountain bike, I think we now have 1,000,000 coverage when we ride over a fan with our bikes.....I have seen a lot of golf cart insanity and 4 wheel recklessness though......

I'm sure there are many reasons to lower the quota - ease of parking, increase divisional participation, less cars to tech, weigh, fuel check, forgiving run schedules in cases of bad weather/oil downs, the list goes on..
I do think certain tracks have just accepted divisional events as making money off participants only and do nothing at all to advertise them, especially if alcohol cars are not present. There were zero spectators at Zmax, about 50 at Atlanta and maybe one concession stand open at both. If I had not gone on NHRAdiv2.com I would not have known there was going to be a race at Zmax this weekend. At least I hear a radio commercial for Maple Grove's Memorial Day Weekend D1 Race, and we all know Bader does a great job advertising the Norwalk Divisional. |

ZMax/Charlotte Motor Speedway did NO advertising of the LODRS (nothing on their website, no radio or TV ads) and when I called the speedway they had NO information on schedule, ticket prices, etc. I was told it was a 'lease' event and since Lucas Oil was the sponsor I should call them for information. Pitiful.

I did not run a National event from 2001 to 2014.
I entered 1 in 2014 and 1 in 2015. No real big complaints other than the amount of time we are forced to devote just to run one..... I always have fun and enjoy myself at any race... Increased costs, time etc all for a greatly diminished potential reward. For those that can do them and maybe have never won or can justify it at any cost for whatever reason.....I can see the attraction..... For me.....It just doesn't really hold the attraction it once did so I am unlikely to even attempt to enter one again...

But lets not forget that NHRA is a Business ! I'll bet most of the post on the subject don't attend national events at all . Bader has his %%it together and know's how to promote a race and NHRA needs some lessons on that subject. Getting back to the increase in fees for adding insurance coverage on Pit Scooters- Golf Carts I think is a good Idea ! I see those with Kids riding them unattended and Flying all over the pit areas and have had a few misses myself- Not my Fault ! I have always carried 500 K on my Scooter and G-Car , but my bet is most of the racers attending these event don't have coverage on anything- Golf Cars --Scooters or Race Cars. In today's world of I'm hurt - "I'm suing " World --you better get real ! Look , this is not a Cheap Sport we are attached to and there are cost related that need to be adjusted from time to time ! Just My Opinion !

520 cars ran 4 days of big bucks bracket races at Vegas including a $260,000 winner payout this past Friday. Put on by 2 classracers. Monster huge success. Not a single NHRA anything in site. Do the math. Shoe polish is no stranger to anyone on the board. Rant over, carry on.............................

BVR retires and then NHRA raises the entry fee in the same week. Makes it a little suspicious. I ride a pedal bike also. I don't need a million insurance policy from NHRA.

23 national events
300 min sportsman cars per national event $20x300 entry's =$6000 per race $6000x23 events= $138,000 (with pros paying $0) Did I miss something? I think the extra $10 they charged us at the beginning of the 2016 season more then covers the insurance increase. What was the $10 increase at the start of the season for?
