They did select a few more cars for teardown after the second round.

Does anyone know what the reason was that Ron Terrell Tin Soldier GT/LA car got DQ’d. he beat me first round of class. Just wondering. Ron is a super nice gentleman and I was surprised to find out he is 80 years old and still going strong and racing. Gives me hope.

Several SS cars went down the track as singles at the end of the first round so it looks like every SS car on the grounds had a chance to run in the first round.

I believe that they just didn't have enough alternates waiting to be paired up. Several cars who didn't make the show were never unloaded and ready at the back of the lanes. Not sure why that was. Maybe they didn't think they had a chance to be in the show.
