at the dutch last year or the year before ,I waited 20 minutes after the first call then went up.Bob Bender and I were the only two car there after 30 minutes.Bob Lang sent us down (so much for 1st round random pairing ) He said "get ready ,we will use you two to motivate the rest of them to get up here" .So we went down and I made it back to my trailer, then walk to the fence just as the 2nd pair of cars went down the track.so I see their problem.

This was done the past year in Division 3 successfully for the most part. I had the fortune of being in the first pair twice in a row, Indy & Norwalk. I do recall a spot "being saved" for one the notorious late comers at the Indy divisional. He finally showed right before they pulled us up, but of course his lane choice had already been made by his opponent and rightfully so.
