Don , as far as I know , the 325/324 rated LS1 is for the Super Stock application in the Firebird Formula with the WS6 Ram Air hood . My car with a "flat hood" is rated at 305 . My money is on the Bo Kenney car being the quickest ...any takers ?

GT cars dont get Ram Air unless the engine originally had Ram Air and at the same time the new car had some kind of Ram Air. I dont think a Cobalt has Ram Air so he cant run it. That is the bitch about a GT car. If he had a Grand Am he could.

Isnt there a big difference on the throttle bodies of the LS-1's? I know I put a RA hood on my wife's 99 TA and did nothing else, and the performance difference was like night and day. I changed nothing else.

Irv,

Are you bringing that black Cobalt to run in SS/BM? That car was runner up last year if I am not mistaken.

The 454 combo is a 1975 engine . It's factored to 325 in GT. Looks like the small port head is 45 hp less .
Sounds like the truck motor in a passenger car. I wonder how they designated the difference back then, or did they? Maybe it is a superceded truck head.
Where's Dwight when we need him?

Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
1108 Gary Richard 55 Gary Stinnett
C3 ****WINNER**** 0.084 9.282 140.81 0.030 0.099 NS
GT/AA Index: 10.40 (+/-): -1.118 GT/AA Index: 10.40 (+/-): -10.301
Prior rounds:
Qualified: #26 9.277 141.06 #41 9.304 147.94

Stinnett's car makes a hard move towards the centerline after the launch and he slows. Oddly, something triggered the right lane lights at 0.099! Richard is the winner in GT/AA.

Got to love Drag race central!!!
