i just found out about a month ago. i could not figure out why i lost all contact with him. turns out he died of cancer in 2003. I ended up buying my 73 duster from his group. he was going to build a new 340 for me when i lost contact

I think Rusty Johnson bought that '67 390 Mustang from Dave Toren and raced it for several years before he passed away in 2020.

The car Rusty Johnson had was purchased from Neal Rhodes in Colorado. Neal built the car, he raced it in super stock originally after he built it then put it into stock and ran in C/SA before selling it for his current super stock car.
