Default Re: How to choose front springs

Randy Manns has been helpful for me and has provided some very nice components that worked very well.

Marty Rinehart has also been helpful with Landrum springs and advice. I've had to touch the spring lengths up to get the ride height exactly where I wanted it, but not like the other brands we've used.

Landrums are basically set and forget. You don't have to set the car up high so it settles to where you want it after they are installed. And I have yet to see them sag, even on the heaviest cars.

Basic guideline to rates IMO, use the lightest rate spring that you can get compressed and into the car and will hold the car at the desired ride height, with minimal or no trimming. Then put a (very) good set of DA shocks or struts on it, built for your application, to control the whole thing.
