How to choose front springs

Been thru a few sets of Moroso springs with different rates.
They all sit too high and I’ve got cut them to get the ride height.
Car weighs 1800# on the front and has no up lift when pulling on the front end.
This is a bbc iron head chevelle.

In a Q and A session on This Is Bracket Racing, Justin Lamb spoke in some detail on front suspension. He mentioned Randy Mans at Fast Shocks as being very helpful.

What length?
Did you have to trim it?
