I'm not sure how or why this was so top secret!? We was the process of trying to get weight out of the car due to the athletic figure of the driver. Then I get a phone call at midnight saying I now have to put 200lbs back in the car. How is this even possible? Last edited by littlemanjoe; 02-06-2022 at 03:20 PM. |

440 6bbl E-Body cars are natural "C/SA" now as Larry said. 9.18 factor.
Over night, Larry's and many other six packs went from a A/SA to a natural C/SA. Can now run D/SA. What the....? Obviously B/SA will have a new fast car. Paul |

Ironically, my previously overweight 70 RT just got more interesting and can now run H and I with some traction aiding balast. Eric

I emailed Pat Cvengros last week, he (and Wesley) said that every combo in the guide would be compared against the AMA shipping weights. He did apologize for the way this was discovered. It was their intent to post to nhraracer.com like any other update once the it was completed, but the revised pages in the guide were mistakenly published to the site in error.
Like Mr. Hill said, i went to bed as an A/SA car and woke up a C. Last edited by jeff_kovalik; 02-08-2022 at 04:36 PM. |

I can't remember what year it was but the AAMA ceased to exist. I'm pretty sure that it was in the mid-late 70s. The way that I understand it, the NHRA got their weight and tech info right from the manufacturers after that.
