or if the election is cancelled due to another pandemic flare up, he and Pence would automatically be out of office in January 2021, when their terms expire. Then after a bunch of head scratching the next President would be Senator Patrick Leahy from Vermont. And the Dems would own the Senate. Mostly because a cancelled election would at least temporarily empty the House. And all Senate races would be cancelled as well. And more Republicans would be ousted which turns the control of the Senate over to the Dems. All this going on while each state is trying to figure out the electoral college. Ya in?
Nope. I don't see where this is in the constitution . The 22nd amendment concerns more that two terms as Pres. DT hasn't completed one yet.
What I'm suggesting is a moratorium on ALL elections and all expirations. That ought to save a few lives. You should be good with that, yes?

You really should spend some time researching these subjects before coming out here with this nonsense.

Lots of so-called experts on here. My best friend Ashton Hudson is an ER doctor. Deals with it everyday. I’ll stick to getting my information first hand from him. Some of you clowns are way off with what your saying. How about doing some research on Covid 19 before you get on here .......

Maybe down here .
Nope
So, if I wanted to research the Constitution, I'd check in with Mark Levin.
Or, how about Jonathan Turley, a Democrat , for a different angle?
Certainly wouldn't be from your source, that foremost constitutional scholar, what was his name.., the guy with the phony papers..Barry something? O'Biden?

Fluff master. You offered nothing worthy of an answer. Go do some research. I guess you remember that Jonathan Turleley was on Trump's defense team.

So? Only because he was correct.

I've done some. It looks like DT could try it, during wartime (as Cumo called it) In that case the SCOTUS would have to take it up. Then , they would defer to the contagious disease folks and the military, before making a decision.
I asked you if you would support such a move, if it saved a few lives. You called me names, but still haven't answered.

"And even if the U.S. legislative and executive branches could sufficiently cooperate to buy some additional time by delaying the next election, they wouldn’t have much leeway. The 20th amendment to the U.S. constitution states that the current president’s four-year term ends at noon on Jan. 20. So the election couldn’t be put off by much more than two months without incurring the risk of leaving the U.S. without a president or vice president come Jan. 20, and leaving Congress the chaotic task of having the Speaker of the House temporarily govern while figuring out how to rectify the absence of a duly-elected chief executive. (Altering that Jan. 20 deadline would require amending the U.S. Constitution in a matter of months, a virtually impossible feat.)"

So with your plan that little old lady from Pasadena will be President come Jan 20th.
That'll rattle your cage, I love it!!! LOL
