Why will the cheater plate only flow 300? Is it due to amount of holes in spray bar or does it have a permanent jet in it? Also what ET to run in this class?

Track officials pass out plates, in exchange for your plate. Putting a seal on once the exchange / install happens leaving no chance of cheating plate rule. We've been 5.19 131 with a lesser caliber 23 sbc (Brodix Track 1 227) probably around 1050hp, 700 lift cam Our new powerplant will put us up around 1150hp with the camshaft approaching an inch of lift. 875 + 300. 3.875 x 4.185 427 sbc 23 All Pro raised runner. 66 Chevy ll that looks factory all steel fiberglass hood 2950lbs. 5.0's would be my guess up front. |

Sounds like you are not allowed a delay box in that class. Us super stock guys use a long stroke button to slow down to keep from going red. Just N Time or Biondo terminator would be some to try. I also use the leave chip to control the reaction time on my car. front tire pressure is also another way to adjust.

why don't you put a delay box in and run the same tire and button you have? just adjust the delay box to reaction times

That's not a bad idea only delay boxes aren't allowed in the index classes at Lights Out let alone a heads up class otherwise I'd have no objection. We're kinda getting pressed for time with this car, I forgot to mention the class is limited to a 4150 carb and intake. We just got the carb but are a little behind on the intake as the engine was already fitted with a 4500 carb and intake when the rules for this new class came out. I do the engine and transmission assembly, suspension tuning. I don't want to spin the other guys out with the issue with the 400 pro tree at Lights out after having been double O on the .370 tree we run on local just yet. Figured I'd get some idea's together in here I can easily access to review when the right time arises. We're waiting on a set of steel shaft rockers from jesel now. Depending on when they arrive will determine if we're gonna make a couple test laps with the 4500 intake and carb while getting the 4150 intake work underway. We have a set of jesel aluminum shaft rockers on it now we've made several pulls on the dyno with but we're getting those off of there as a preventative measure. An adjustable button or delay box will spin these guys out, with all the other obstacles at hand in getting the car ready. It'll end up a last minute fix I throw on this thing with some good Idea's in here I can review back to quick, as I am forecasting it based on past experiences.
