General Regulations, Section 21, Page 5
Fuel/Air: Any method of artificially cooling or heating fuel
prohibited (i.e., cool cans, Freon, wet rags, etc.), except as
noted in Class Requirements. Cool cans, wet towels, etc. are
permitted in Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas,
Super Street, and E.T. classes. Wet towels, rags, ice, etc. must
be removed before vehicle leaves staging area. Coolers, chillers,
etc., where permitted by class requirements, are prohibited
outside of the competitor’s pit. Ambient-temperature air only;
cooling or otherwise changing the conditions of the intake air is
prohibited. Spraying of intake with any artificial spray or coolant
prohibited.
I for one dont care which way the rule should be written, but I have 2 questions.
1 With the current way rule is written can you leave ice in the cool fuel container when going down track?
2 I asked this question before but having bags of ice on the hood constitute cooling the air around carb?

I wasn't referring to your "Factory Built" SS car that runs in Stock. what's the difference between Capt. Jack running a metric in his car vs. a G-force or a Liberty?

I think that tear down should be apart of the participation of STK/SS racing. To this day I carry gaskets and the tools to take what ever the tech person wants to see. As far as no sleep, I can remember leaving the tear down barn at 9 pm and have to be ready to race 9 AM the next morning. BTW that was the days when we couldn't leave the vehicles at the track and you put it back together at the hotel. Maybe got 3 hours sleep and we used nothing but manual hand tools. It was the common knowledge that that is the way it was, too bad if you were on the barn list.

Good question, 2-step switch must be on the brake pedal.
Must be for the delay box.

Some guys have line-loc's there. My car was that way when we got it in 2017, but I've never driven one with it anywhere other than on the shifter so changed it before I ever drove it.

As far as towing to the lanes. I think the fair rule would be that the car that is pitted the farthest away should be allowed to tow to there opponents pit and both cars need to be driven to the lanes from there. Then there is no advantage to the person with the up-close pit spot.
