We are here and parked and ready to roll down the track at 8 in the morning! Of course we are all at the round track. I went for a ride with Michael Volkman this afternoon to show him how to get to staging! I don't think he was impressed!! We are parked on the grass way down at the end! I will try to get some pictures tomorrow !

Im kind new at this, but the weather: 52.2 degrees, 90%, baro 29.75, AA 308'. It could be fast.
All the Showdown cars I spoke with are planing a pit stop at the edge of the round track stands to cool and re-ice inter coolers. On the plus side of being this far from the starting line, the oil will be hot for the XX cars. I did notice some showdown teams are in the pits with the "Pros", I wonder if a teams pit placement will affect performance and the outcome of the race. More later, got to get ready for Q1. The Hay in the pits is cut, raked, and ready to bailed. |

Quite a few, the track is 1.25 miles around. Did they take out the far wall again for entry? The Hill's mention some of the Stock FX Shootout cars are parking with the Pros. We'll it will open a few more spots then.

NHRA, in my opinion, is two for two on the racetrack not being prepared properly for first qualifying attempt,Charlotte was bad and so was St. Louis. Sixty foot was 1.387 for Charlotte and 1.380 at Gateway, Q2 at Charlotte was 1.331 in sixty, I hoping to see the same improvement (.05) on Q2 later today. I wonder if they forgot what they did at Indy, Indy was great.
Cross your fingers. Is value for the dollar spent with NHRA reduced to hoping that the track is good? The good thing about a data recorder is they show you what happened. |
