This is the first time in my memory that a race has been postponed because of heat. Pretty smart move in my opinion. I remember when we raced at Edgwater and the heat index was in the 100 degree range and someone always needed medical attention. Very dangerous situation.

Yes very smart move, down here in Houston Baytown area our heat index gets up to 110 to 120 (in the shade), it makes it miserable have to really manage your fluid intake to stay hydrated.
