I already regret not building this one. Or an 87 El Camino with the 262.

The original challenge was "let's hear what you got", but very few have been posted. Is everybody keeping their cards close to their chest or has everybody lost their imagination? I will submit one and challenge anyone to follow:

96-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 360. Cheap to buy. Good engine and trans combination. Runs J/SA - N/SA depending on the trim. Engine is way underrated. You could run under the index with one these things using a rebuilder's short block. Good visibility.

Nah, but you gotta realize that when some of us try to enter into the foreign car world, things seem a little strange to us..

This could be a great build. I wonder if you could get it light enough in limited trim with the 360(magnum motor?), and full time 4wheel drive to run the 12.95 N/SA index. Call it 4100 pounds. Anyone know what they weigh as street jeeps? My 08 v8 full time 4 wheel drive 4runner with me in it is like 4575.

Drive around the water box, and stage. Perfect training truck.

If the 96-98 360 grand cherokees had magnum motors, it could be interesting.

Eric

Nah, I don't see this one.
Can't even take advantage of the truck camshaft lift gift.
Plus ,I don't think you want to be in J,K with an index runner.
My advice? Keep looking.
