Jeff, Not sure you are reading it like I am.

Here's what I see:

One A/SA goes 10.60
Another one goes 10.50.
They meet..The dial-in is 10.40.
The slower one goes 10.50 ,with a good light.
The other one goes 10.39. He loses.
Brake (break) -out in effect.
