Adding 250 lbs maximum allowable weight to the shipping wt. now = 2452 lbs. The min. weight in GT is 2670 so that is what the car has to weigh with driver. The SS GT/MA index is 11.75 at 14 lbs per factored h.p.

In the past it has been that cars not making the minimum (car) weight of 2500 by adding 250 lbs are not allowed to run GT. Doubt if that will change. The shipping weight of any car for SS/GT must be at least 2250 lbs or greater to begin with.

However....the '73 Pinto wagon is eligible for GT with a factory shipping wt. of 2378 lbs. The oldest Pinto hatch eligible for GT is the 1974 model @ 2366 lbs. shipping wt..
