There have been many great Oldsmobiles from the all over the country. Since I am from the Northwest, the Kost Brothers (Pete and Bill) have a soft spot for me. I have known them since the 70's and have seen many great running Oldsmobiles form them. I know Pete even had one of the Smothers Brothers cars for awhile. My favorite is the '72 Rainier Beer car. I don't have any pictures of it, but remember seeing at the local tracks all the time. We lost Bill a few years ago, but Pete is still out there doing what he loves at 81 years of age. I would like to say thanks to vistacruiser67 for posting the pictures of Pete Kost and his S/S oldsmobile. He is now 81 years young and still out there doing what he loves. At the Division 6 banquet this year, Pete and his brother Bill were inducted into the Div. 6 Hall of Fame. Like I said in a previous post we lost Bill a few years ago, but the Kost family (Pete & Dino) is still active in drag racing in the northwest.

Whole lot of pages here and no mention, save Al Segers photos, of one of the early killers with Olds, John Troxell.
The National Record certificates and class win trophies from these cars covered the walls of his shop.
The coupe is now the late Johnny Williams' Cajun Nightmare car.

WOW!! NEVER SEEN THIS PHOTO OF THE WAGON BEFORE!! I got the coupe picture. I thought the coupe was owned by Ron McHugh's brother Kevin?

I spent a lot of my "wasted youth" working on the Olds' and others with Jack.
Johnny told me it was Jack's car.
