Thanks for the information guys, I really appreciate it. I checked out tim gillespie's times, and I would be pretty happy with similar results. Looks like he has a pretty nice car. Mine has been setting for a few years, and I need to do it justice and start working on it.

Tim also has a Super-Gas car....good looking car too.chupiw where do you live? I'm sure tim will be @ the nothernsports nationals next weekend (sep 30) you could come by and ask all kinds of questions. LOL if your not on this side of the country I'm sure some one can get his # for ya.

Call your GTO a 1969 model. Then go look at the specs between a RAIII and RAIV. Then go look at the HP differences between the two engines...
Maybe the 400/350 1968 engine will still be a better choice. It would be cheaper and lighter...
-722 RAIV heads & the aluminum hi-rise are on ebay often.

I am in Phoenix AZ. Been here for 12 years.In about 6 to 8 months I will be going to Texas and pick the GTO up. It has been sitting in storage for 13 years. So from now on I will be learning and getting as much information as possible to make this build go a little smoother. I am glad I found this forum, I think it will be a lot of help. Thanks for the info, I will be getting in touch with tim soon, I found his website last night.
