In the mid 80's II had a 77 LTD (Brogham??) some type of luxury option?...an uncle gave it to me...... It was more like a Continental.... Hidden headlights, Power Everything, Landau Top, it was Silver.... It had a 460 4bbl - the damn thing was fast & a gas eater.
460 was a great motor - smooth etc.
within 2 years though.... the headlight doors stopped working, the bumpers literally rusted and fell off, and best of all - the sunroof (which I never even used) would leak... rain water would pool in the roof..... so when you hit the brakes the driver and passenger would get a good soaking (no BS)... it was hysterical.
So I'm not sure it wouldve made a good demo-derby car because of how rusty it got!
I completely forgot I ever owned it till I saw this post...

Guys, I have a line on a 74-5 Lincoln with the 460 four-barrel, it is running and has 1500 miles on a rebuilt engine, trans, and rear end. Would this be a good one for Stock? It looks brand new (Continental). Lee

If you find one out of the rust belt, and you weld the bumpers and those nasty bumper shocks real well, they are a beast. I have the trophy to prove it.

I've had 2 of those 74-78 LTDs and those cars are absolutely huge.

I cannot imagine trying to drag race one. Wow !

Vic,
$125.00 for the motor. Right now it's still in the car. I'll have to make an oak pallet for it to. Here is the # off the passenger side head. Billy talk you out of the 351M ?

Vic,
I dont have the right carb per the spec sheet, sorry. It looks like a holley 1850 will work though. Shipping, I only know it's going somewhere in div. 1 but I can take it to the shop I work @ & have it freighted out from there.
