They did the same thing to us at Bradenton this year. Half of the cars checked were non-crate motored cars though (including me). Everybody was good. Good to see this! Jim

I believe Jim Woods has been a driving force in getting back to spot-checking cars. Jim will be one of the Tech officials at the Northern Class Nationals next spring, along with Danny Waters, Sr. and NHRA Div. 3's Donald Braun. (and probably 1 or 2 more guys)

Crate motors have engine spec sheets like every other Stocker. They are available at http://www.ihra.com/cratemotors/

Sterling,
Bring a $1000.00 to Piedmont at the end of the month and I'll be glad to let you look
at the short block ! Why would you even say that ?
The Fast Crate Motor Guy's would be fast in any stock class,,, They work hard on their cars !!

Sterling,

You are right , also PS should be checked & torn down ? If they pay to play and win the same amount of money then they should be part of every-teardown ... If you Win you should teardown along with RU.
IHRA should invite everyone at least once a year to teardown ? Then everyone can see how much Fun it is when it's 95 degress ? I also agree with Jeff Ross , they need to start looking at more Cars / things ??
