Englishtown and Charlotte won't be qualified fields, but Indy will be a big problem and it is just wrong!
Hopefully this "enhancement" will be adjusted in some manner, to allow carbureted cars a chance to qualify.

"The NHRA Factory Stock Showdown was designed to showcase the NHRA Ford Mustang Cobra Jet, Dodger Mopar Challenger Drag Pak and the Chevrolet COPO Camaro".

Sam I think that is great for a show at all national events. My main point is that it will give the 2008 up cars a 0.3 softer index that have a blower or the V-10; and soften the index of the N/A cars by 0.7. It looks like if the "new cars" will start, move, and make some sort of exhaust noise they will be in the field of 128.

I for one do not want to be on the outside looking in @ Indy because NHRA swayed the rules for Factory Stock Showdown like last years pro stock motorcycle.

Anybody wanting to qualify at Indy with an older car might have to build a Pickup Truck.

Larry, first off Happy Anniversary! Wouldn't the "NEW CARS" qualify in the top portion of the 128 anyway based on the current factors?

Unless you tried to run them "as delivered", which none of the fast cars are.

Lets look at the cars that missed the 128 car field. #134 was -.771 under now with the 0.30 index adjustment the same car will be -1.071 under, I know it is not fair to the rest of us that will not receive the same 0.30 index adjustment. #146 was -.705 under now with the add-on -1.075. What a disappointment in judgment by NHRA. How is this fair??

4 factory cars missed the show last year.

This is about the money Larry and has nothing to do with fairness. This outfit wants to be about money and only masquerade as a racing organization. With these guys more is never enough. They make these bogus proclamations and then run back under their rock - a big flat, smooth rock that a cow is eyeing with a full bladder.
