I used to date a woman who was an actress who specialized in commercials. She would play the woman on the street, at the grocery store. the woman on the street, etc. In other words she played the part of the "ordinary" citizen in the commercials. She worked off of scripts and rehearsed her role for the commercials.

I've been to the Pawn Shop in Vegas and the main characters don't even work there, they only come in when it's time to shoot an episode.

Even if they start off as real amateurs they are fed situations, scripts and directed until they are actors.....nothing is real on TV, it's all fantasy.

On the subject of commercials it drives me up a wall when you hear a commercial, especially when it's child related. The little kid talking in the commercial is really a woman talking.Talk about dishonesty.
