How about checking the key on the F.I. Pump shaft to th pulley, perhaps the pulley is slipping when the pressure builds up?
I would also verify that tha barrel valve linkage has not rotated out of position (Leak down test it) like wise the fuel shut off linkage.
CheckThat the pill and return line are not blocked.
Dissemble and check the filter. And if applicable the high speed poppet
It's probably a good idea to cut open the oil filter as Wayne has suggested.
