Within a year or two all new high-performance cars will have a form of electronic launch control. There are a few American cars with it already. Some are programmable (in terms of launch rpm), some are not. They work well, but generally will not out-perform an experienced driver.

Might as well sit in the stands and use your remote control transmitter. Is this drag racing or flying model airplanes. Might as well allow delay boxes and throttle stops while your at it.

Will NHRA allow this in Stock Eliminator?

I understand that John Force had a version of this on his Funny Car some years back and NHRA made hin take it off.

So, now, what's not allowed on a Funny Car might be allowed on a Stocker???

This just gets weirder and weirder...

You are right but it's not easy, just ask Nissan about the skyline theirs broke the trans-axle = class action lawsuits and recalls.
