Big investment just to have some keyboard tough guy talk smack. Please re-read what you posted. Think about it if it applied to you. Say you are sorry. Move on, thinking before you post. |

I love this, gazillion dollar race cars in a class that started with F78/15 whitewalls, no seat belts and tee shirts without helmets. If these cars and their drivers are lucky enough to win a race, they will receive the same purse that one would win with a V/SA Pinto. Do the math, it is all just a big dick contest.
Please pass the popcorn....................... |

Here we go again...
I do not EXPECT to get paid a single dime - I do not do this because I hope to recoop my expenses. I hope to watch my son go very fast - and enjoy myself while I am doing it. I love this so much and enjoy it so much - I am actually OK with paying and the more fun I have, the more it should cost. Obviously, some are not ready to admit - it is OK to loose money in drag racing or our hobbies (ski boats, off road vehicles, etc.) They want to justify what they spend in drag racing by saying they COULD win some small amount someday and the less they have spent the less they have lost. The point is - almost no one is turning a profit in sportsman drag racing (please do not bore me with the names of the few that do) Almost every single one of us spend way more money than we win - we do it because we enjoy it. The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

Charlie Allen, it's not a big dick contest. I don't think anybody that drives stock a low 13 second or faster car every day to work and back is going to have much fun racing something that's not faster than that. If you have driven nine second cars a 10 or 11 second, or even slower car is not going to be much fun. That's why we do this, right?
My low ten second car is no thrill, I wouldn't want to race anything slower. Just wouldn't feel like racing. Just because a guy has worked hard and long enough to afford a faster car doesn't mean he wants to measure anything with you. Not many of us do this for a profit. I'm happy for anybody that can afford a newer faster car. As long as the hp rating is close to correct.

Number 1: I'm not a keyboard tough guy. Number 2, I have a good source for my info, Number 3, I never heard of Durham, and Number four, I can't remember ever liking or getting along with anyone from California: And I don't apologise for "not" wronging someone. Too me, he seems like a "buyer" based on his previous posts, where he was asking what's up with the lag time on the V-10 DP's: Like we would know, maybe he should use some of his "money" to make grand-ma Mopar move faster.

Your post basically attacked a nice guy, who has been on this Forum a lot longer than you. You hide behind an account name that is not your own. No one knows who you are. You don't know Mr. Durham, we don't know you.
I'm sure Mr. Teuton doesn't need you to post about his projects. He is very capable of posting himself. You should apologize, if only to recognize that your post might have been taken in a hostile manner. |
