Damn, I missed this thread (and it's kinda moot with Drooze passing away), but I enjoyed his posts and banter so much I want to add to it. RIP Drooze.

The diesel guy mentioned is a good friend of mine, John Robinson. While most of us are lucky to get a small sponsor, he has a major sponsor. When he goes to a LODRS or National event, he gets more attention than any 10 BBC dragsters combined. While he has yet to win a round, he is having a great time doing it (and he's getting it more competitive every event).

I drive a diesel "Pro Stock" truck, that currently runs 8.80's. We have been thinking about running it in either S/C or S/G as well as the diesel races. I can spool as I pull forward after the burnout, and be ready to launch as soon as I light the stage bulb.

Regards,
Michael Pliska

Michael, I believe I've seen you run, at Woodburn?

We in the Pacific Northwest Super Comp Association would love to have to join the fun. They're just friendly races, and a chance to earn some good bucks. We have a double-header race (one Sat, one Sun) next weekend (14-15th) in Bremerton, and our final double-header on Sep 10-11 at Woodburn. Come on out, check into http://pnsca.com, or send me a PM if you're interested.

Chris

Chris,
Thanks for the info. I have run my S/G car at Woodburn (usually in brackets, it's an old Vega with "Student Driver" on the side), but not the diesel race truck. We run it all over the country, but our last event was at PIR. If I could get a little more ET out of my old school S/G car I might even play in S/C one of these days! I've been trying to talk the owner of the race truck into running this year in S/C, but he wants to wait for next year (we've run a pretty full schedule already this year).

Regards,
