We usually let Bob Frey write the story when we lose someone and I am sure he will have a lot to say about Mark. I am still in shock, Dave Gerard was way too close a friend of Mark's to be able to write anything rational, and Bob has a way of making the best of a bad situation.
In less than a month, two alcohol racers I have known for a long time have lost their lives at the end of the track - both were experienced, skilled, and meticulous about preparing their equipment for each race. Sometimes, stuff just happens, I guess. |

Wrong.
And Larry was correct, Bob Frey has done an outstanding piece on Mark Niver, and it is posted at DRC. It's an excellent tribute, obviously written after a day of reflection.
