Re: Electric fan ?
on my 88 suburban, i went to the junkyard and pulled a dual fan from a dodge stratus. used summit dual fan relay with 185 on/ 175 off thermostatic switch. with a HUGE big block aluminum radiator and the fans, i had to pull both relays to get any heat into motor for heater to work this winter. didn't even have to drill holes to mount fan to radiator, both had holes that lined up perfect with brackets that i made. actually strips of 1/4(?) inch aluminum, a few nuts and bolts, a couple of clips, and 2 strips of thin weatherstripping for cushion, and it works and looks great. 45 bucks for fan from the junkyard, and fans worked too. just take a tap measure to junkyard and go hunting. i drive the girlfriend nuts whenever i go to the junkyard, always dragging something home.
