If a racer wins his Division, and finishes in the top ten in his category why doesn't NHRA give the silver card to the next guy down in the top ten.the guy with the Div.championship doesnt need the silver card too does he?

Is the silver card still given? if so, how do you get one and what does it get you?

This is a real interesting thread, I just won an IHRA,
gold and silver card for winning the Summit Super Series N/Box World Championship, at Rockingham, guess I need to find someone who wants a driver for their stock eliminator car for next season, Could be an interesting upcoming season. I assume I could use the cards for that purpose, correct me if I am wrong? Davey Boyd |

If you have a gold card you still have to pay the insurance $ 60..00 plus have a competition number for the bracket you are entering. I never had a gold card but I did on line entries for some one who did have a gold card.

Colton: I guess my information was correct, I didn't need any grade points to enter any National event race. Point races are a completely different story.
I wanted to take my Camaro to Indy for the 50th race, I had raced at Indy with the Camaro for the 25th. I had no grade points so I wouldn't be able to enter but after winning the Summit Series D2 race I got a gold card and I was able to go to Indy on their dime. It was a beautiful thing! Lyn,
The racer can use both cards if he races 2 eliminators I believe. If you won d3 stock and finished in the top 10 nationally, you could go to a national event and run stock and super stock without paying either entry fee. need 2 cars though !!!!! Dave
