also from the HAMB:

Hello All,
Joe Allread's daughter, Deb, here. We've read your kind words with pride. He loved racing and building race engines. Seems he'll be missed by many.

His memorial service will be held on Friday, November 20 at 11:00 am - Pickwick Gardens, 1001 West Riverside Drive, Burbank, CA.

Very nice, cordial man. Met him several years ago at Indy. He was very polite and answered my questions with complete honesty.

Condolences to the Allread Family,

Wade

Thanks to all who turned out for Joes memorial yesterday. It was very well attended and I am sure Joe was smiling down from Hemi Heaven.

Deb, my Dad (Gene Brown) attended your Dad's service and said that it was great to see all the people that turned out. Joe was a very sharp man and a great person. I remember him when I was a kid and was glad that I got to see him at the Winternationals this year. Sorry for your loss.
