If you have a NHRA drivers licenses, there is a spot that asks if you have had a DUI

Where do you see that? Perhaps I'm getting blind in my old age but I don't see that question on the paperwork.

The license renewal form asks for current drivers license and renewal date. What happens if you "lose" your license between NHRA renewal dates? I've never been asked to show my current drivers license at an event, only my competition license and membership card.

If you do not have a valid drivers license you are not allowed to have an NHRA license.

I think you are on your "honor" to let NHRA know if you loose your license.

Question Re: Drug Testing perNHRA

Couple questions

so how does nhra pick someone to be drug tested? is it Radom or can someone point the finger at someone and have them tested?

if you get a DUI and loose you license but you have a permit to drive to and from work can you still race at NHRA events?

Random testing. I believe I can remember it starting back in the early 90's. I ran Super Comp and a little Comp Eliminator back then. Never was selected, but knew others that were.

It seems alot of the competitors that get tested now , where tested before. Talked to Scotty Richardson at Columbus a few years ago and he had been tested 17 times and his next comment was John Force has never been tested.Seem funny they go after the ones they tested before and passed.Makes them NHRA look good

Hammer

Cool Re: Drug Testing perNHRA

I always believed that the testing was random - ( and still do ) - but then a few years ago I was picked two years in a row at the Keystones - one would think the odds are better to win the lottery...................Hmmmmmmm .

I was tested twice, first I believe was '98, then again in '03 when I was running S/G. Its no big deal, you go to the trailer, they give you a breathalizer, and take a urine sample.

Honor and NHRA. Thats probably not the best combination of words.

As far as loosing your state issued drivers license, I'm not sure if NHRA has a stance on this matter. 20+ years ago at Gainesville, Bracket racer A had knowlege that Bracket racer B had his license suspended for having too many speeding tickets in a given amount of time (I was not either A or B). Bracket racer A pointed this out to a track official and asked if it was legal for him to be racing while his state issued drivers license was suspended. The official refered them to then track manager Bob Moore. Bob told them that Racer B's issues with the state of Florida DMV wasn't any concern of his or the track. If the racer was capable of holding a drivers license (legal age, etc.), then that's all he was concerned about.

Hey Dan Moore, you're #1.

RIP Mark Graham
