Ray, same answer as above..I dont see one that says it will work with a Hipster brake...should I assume that any solenoid will work with any brake ?

Solinoid just de-energizes so how would one cause your RT's to be slow? A sticking valve maybe but the solinoid doesn't have much to do with release time.....

Dave, is it a aluminum valve body?
If so read the other transbrake thread. This issue is why I do not use the alum brake on any trans I build for myself or a customer. Hope this helps. Rick |

Dave, like I said the solinoid only energizes to apply the brake. Once power is removed from the solinoid it de-energizes and the pressure in the trans. drives the valve and the solinoid back. There is no spring in there like the old ones. If the solinoid is free to move without any binding there is nothing it can do to slow up your RT's. Maybe you blinked or your getting feeble.....

Yes, sorta. All standard stroke length solenoids will work on the Hipster valve body however there are a few specials out there with different strokes. They all screw into the transmission case, 11 threads per inch thread. Ray
