Hmmm lets see here..lets take a 99 Pontiac(R.I.P) firebird ..
Ram air with stick is NHRA-rated at 342..now lets move on to same with non fresh air ...that one is 7 more at 349.(they did a lousy job with the fresh air package)...moving on to auto with non fresh air wich is another 20 hp up at 369..(those stick shifts arent really efficient..)again moving on to the top of the line...auto with fresh air...lets see..that package dont work as good on the track for some reason..so leave that at -5 = 364...hmm..all this makes perfect sence to me...NOT!!! ...this is so stupid that there is no word for it!...on top of that "Formula" and "Trans Am" will put them in different classes also
with all that said...a formula with LS1 fresh air and a stick shift trans must be one of the best cars out there at only 342..a whopping 27 hp lower than one with auto and "non fresh air"...dont understand why not more are using this combo!
