I wouldn't go so far as to say that the COPO Camaro was an error. I think that they are pretty cool! (LOL).

My point is that those cars were cutting edge for 1969 and were aimed directly at Stock. I applaud the NHRA for having the AA classes, so that some more of the "cutting edge" sixties combinations can compete. I am also really excited about the fact that more than one manufacturer is looking towards our form of racing at the same time. When was the last time that they were serious about being the "Top Dog" in Stock?
