I don't think you will see anything specific in the rule book regarding that but to my knowledge, if the engine combo was available with a cold air system (cowl hood / ram air) etc, then you can leave it as cold air in the GT car. If the engine combo did not come w/ a ram air system then you are supposed to block the venting in the hood.
