Saw this on NHRA stock classification guide. Could not find this in my 1967 Plymouth parts catalog. Does such a thing exist?

Yes in 1966 and 1967 only. There are know surviving examples of Belvedere and Coronet 4 doors. Also previously know ones that have vanished. There was one at the Garlits museum, maybe still there.

I THOUGHT that there were only two 4 door Hemi cars, both 66 Dodge Coronets. Some combinations appear in the guide that could have been built, even though they never actually were. I don't believe there ever was a 67 Plymouth Hemi station wagon built upon the assembly line, even though at least one was raced in NHRA competition. Mopar did the engineering and supplied a shipping weight. We need Paul Cresine back for verification.

I remember seeing a 66 or 67 Hemi Belvedere 4 door at the local hang out about 70 or 71. Can't remember all the details, but it was a plain jane car with dog dish hubcaps. Beige in color, if I remember correctly.

I think Gaylon Govier found a couple in the paperwork while researching the files. I know in the 66 Parts Manual one of the pictures in the body section is a Coronet Wagon with a 426 Hemi. Of course those are illustrations. The 70-71 parts manual are combined years and I can assure you there a couple of things put in there just for NHRA, but I ain't sayin what. And maybe they existed. In 1969 the 440 Dart and Cuda were never offered to the general public dealers. Nobody was more intuned with the performance than us. But they made them. There are several blueprint errors from that era, but I guess now they are fact. After that many years it don't matter. I still have the parts books back to 1960.

Gary Ostrich raced a 66-67 Plymouth wagon in Super Stock. Don't know if it was produced that way. Al Corda would know.

There were only two 4 door Hemi cars, both ended up in Wichita (go figure) back in the 70's. I rebuilt the engine in the car the Garlits has in his museum. It was neat to talk to him about that car at PRI several years ago, he claims he still drives it from time to time. The car had all original parts and the engine had about 166k miles as I remember and there was very minimal wear, we even went back with the original bore size and the crank just needed polishing. There were several strange markings stamped around on the block and with a little research it was determined that there were special bearing sizes (plus or minus .001) for each type of stamping. Cant remember all the details but it was amazing how well that Hemi held up for that many miles, back when most engines didn't make it past 100k.
